There’s nothing we love more than snuggling up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and a slice of pumpkin pie to watch movies such as Elf, The Santa Clause and Love Actually during the festive period. That’s why for our annual Christmas competition we’re asking publishers to combine creativity with our favorite holiday past-time and create a Christmas film poster. The poster must include the following:

• An original title for the film. It can be a play on words of an existing Christmas movie or a brand new one.
• A festive image to accompany the title

Publishers can also earn bonus points by creating a short trailer to accompany their film poster. Once you’ve created your festive film poster, please submit to us via our social channels Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest & Instagram with the hashtag #awfestivefilm. We’ve got a prize pool of $1600 to be paid by bank transfer in time for Christmas, to give to three lucky winners: 1^st Prize – $800 USD/CAD 2^nd Prize – $500 USD/CAD 3^rd Prize – $300 USD/CAD To provide inspiration, we’ve created our own festive film poster, a play on National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

What better time than the most wonderful time of year to make your directorial debut?
